I was preparing another post… until I saw this.
It speaks for itself. It is also a big part of the reason I started the trader training/mentoring business. Trading is not for everyone, but it is an alternative for a lot more people than anyone thinks.
At any rate, I hope more alternatives spring up for people. Industries and businesses that need workers and/or contractors AND pay a living wage. The employment numbers looked good on Friday… but there seems to be a tremendous disconnect between the official numbers and the anecdotal evidence.
In an unofficial survey of friends and associates, I couldn’t find a single person who feels like things are “getting better.” Even those still employed are afraid it is “only a matter of time.”
Maybe things ARE getting better… But the problems experienced by the families in the article above are real, pervasive and not easily resolved.
