Immediate Simple Trading Improvement - Keep A Simple Trading Journal

"I have a journal of everything I've ever climbed since 2005. For the entry about free soloing Half Dome, I put a frowny face and added some little notes about what I should have done better, and then underlined it. Turns out that is one of my biggest climbing achievements."

-Alex Honnold

A big part of the journey for any simple trader is a focus on constant improvement.  I like to make small, consistent improvements in my own trading, especially now that I've been at it for so long.

That said, one of the early quantum leap improvements I made was committing to consistent journaling.  Whether for swing or day trading, maintaining a trading journal improved my understanding of my most important trading tool [me], and improved my day trading profitability dramatically.

The video below was created as part of a Free Simple Trading Tip series in 2013. If you're in a hurry and just want the good stuff, go to 2:00 minute mark.

Hope it helps.

Good trading.
